Completely valid point on the rise of chart junk because of the ease of use of the data visualisation tools today. Sometimes more effort makes us more thoughtful :)

I was asked to create an adult learning programme for Tableau 5 years ago. My background is NOT in data visualisation, but having researched, created the content and taught the class over these 5 years (the curriculum is now at version 9!), I believe I've landed on many of the core of issues.
